Here is a rare vintage Ming Dynasty Chinese painting of still life by Zhou Zhi Ming
周之冕
. It is a framed painting of flowers and vases on silk with vivid color (
see pictures
).

The painting is in excellent condition with a crack in the frame on the right side (
see picture
)
and some water stain in the back. There are some reflections over the glass. You will be the judge of it. The frame is heavy too.

周之冕（
1521—
？）明代畫家。字服卿，號少谷，長洲（今江蘇蘇州）人。卒年不詳，活躍於萬曆年間。擅花鳥，注重觀察體會花鳥形貌神情，及禽鳥的飲啄、飛止等種種動態。
善用勾勒法畫花，以水墨點染葉子，畫法兼工帶寫，人稱勾花點葉法
。所作花鳥，形象真實，意態生動，頗有影響。寫意花鳥，最有神韻。設色亦鮮雅，家蓄各種禽鳥，詳其飲啄飛止，故動筆具有生意。特以嗜酒落魄，不甚為世重耳。又善古隸。有明以來寫花草者，無如吳郡，而吳郡自沈周之後，無如陳道
