Vintage Brass Ornate Bell Door Knocker W/ Vocem-meam -Qui -Me -Tangi written on side of bell
Operate by pulling a double dragon/ serpent ring at end of 11 inch  chain which forces a " dragon /serpent " attached to 6.75 inch length rod to move upward and strike the side of bar which forces the large bell to move and the pendulum inside to strike the sides of the bell and it clangs.
Has a large ornate  plate at the backside which attaches to wall. There are two rectangular holes for  hanging. Plate is 10.5 in L with Width of 1.75 in at ends to 3.25 in width in the middle.
Depth  8 in.
The  open round  section at top of bell  is attached to a bar with a brass screw ( the screw is not original )
The bell weight is 3.1 lbs.  Diameter is 5.25 in at open end.  The clanger is metal and 3 in L.
Bell has ornate design with the words Vocem - Meam- Aud  Qui- Me- Tangit ( Latin translates to " whoever touches me will hear my voice."
Has 4 sections of a " woman" holding a sword ?  with 4 sections of  fleur-de-lis design in between.
Front section has an angel/ cherub attached to bar.
Wingspan is 3 in W  ,  total L 4.25 in .
Above the"  bell bar " is a curved bar with larger version of the "dragon/ serpent  forming into a taller " somewhat heart shape with pointed tops design.
Height of this bar section is 7.25 in
There are a few minute  "imperfections"  in the metal on the 2nd arm.
Unique  vintage design that would be certainly be  a conversation piece as well as a great porch decor.
