Up for sale is this large antique Chinese black lacquered panel with gilt gold border decorations and a fabulous etched and painted court scene of several young beauties and performers and admirers around. Fantastic detail and in great condition for its age. Some age crackling in the lacquer surface and some minor losses in the corners.
I believe there may be an old Sotheby’s sticker tag and could have come from a previous auction.
Large and stunning piece measuring 20.8” inches tall and 13.6” inches wide (52.8 cm, 34.5 cm).
Would make a fantastic display piece, fine addition to a collection, or a unique gift.
