Antique early 1900s JAPANESE REVERSE GLASS PAINTING- SAMURAI vintage manga ninja.
These reverse glass paintings are becoming harder and harder to find. They tend to run for 300-1500 depending on subject matter.  Typically you'll find 'geisha' style images, or simple domestic ones such as cats etc.  Images like this samurai are far less common in these paintings... They look so modern in style... It's incredible.  But the line quality and paint quality is the same for all of these antique reverse glass paintings.
The hardware is all original, some scuffs on the frame in places giving it a little character, and the beautiful brass hanger. The little wooden widgets that slide right into slots in the frame and keep everything tight... Really a neat design.
Please see pictures for condition. Note the top left has 2 spots where the paint has scraped on the wood backer a little, I tried to take closeups of it. It's really hard to notice at all.
